Dr. Ahmed Selim is a professor and former head of the Mural Painting Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Minia University. He holds a Ph.D. in the philosophy of art (2005) and has been active in the local and international art scene since 1991, with works in major collections and museums in Egypt and Europe, making him one of the leading figures in contemporary mural art. Tales from Ramadi is inspired by the artist’s hometown in Aswan, portraying the spirit of Upper Egypt through vivid compositions that reflect daily life, deep-rooted identity, and emotional connections. The paintings serve as visual stories, rich in detail and color, rooted in memory and cultural heritage.
