BEYONDTHE FRAME

The activities of the second edition of the exhibition (Beyond the Frame) organized by the Arsinoe Association for Community Development in Egypt for Culture and Fine Arts were inaugurated. The exhibition activities will continue until September 20th at Adam Henein Hall at the Hangar Arts Center, with a number of accompanying artistic activities.

In an atmosphere full of friendliness and art, the head of the Fine Artists Syndicate, artist Tarek El-Komy, inaugurated the art exhibition (Beyond the Frame) at the Egyptian Opera House in the presence of the Deputy Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Cairo, Abdul Rahman bin Salem Al-Dahas, and Manal Metwally, wife of the Egyptian Ambassador to Norway; and the head of the Environment Committee at the Engineers Syndicate, Dr. Naima Al-Qasir, Director of the World Health Organization in Egypt, and a group of public figures and symbols of art and society.

The exhibition, which will last for 5 days, aims to document the spirit of cooperation and cultural and artistic exchange between Arab countries; as it focuses on the culture and customs of society through works of drawing, photography, performance art and digital arts displayed by artists from different countries.

Fifty male and female artists participated in the exhibition with a distinguished collection of plastic works, in the branches of drawing, photography and sculpture, representing the result of their owners' participation in many forums affiliated with "Arsinoe Arts" which were held in Nubia, Fayoum, Siwa, Bahariya Oasis and other natural and archaeological sites that were visited during the convening of those forums. These works were well received and praised by the exhibition visitors and all attendees, especially the idea of the exhibition in promoting plastic arts tourism in Egypt for its rich tourist attractions and destinations.

The participating works reflect the trends of the Arsinoe Association for Community Development towards supporting effective art in mobilizing all segments of society towards national issues, through the presentation of these works with a social and cultural dimension, which in turn contributes to building and shaping collective awareness.
