Bridges… The Feminine 'Nun'
When the woman speaks, she becomes the bridge—transporting us into realms of beauty, memory, and lived experience.
Art... a bridge that connects us. Marsami Art Gallery
MarsamiArt In the *Jusoor* series, the bridge has never been merely a space connecting two banks; it has always been a human act of crossing—a passage from one memory to another, from place to place, and from experience to experience. Today, *Jusoor… Nun al-Niswa* arrives to give this crossing a new voice: the voice of female visual artists who have chosen color as their language, the canvas as a space for expression, and art as a realm for exploring both the self and the world. Here, the *Nun al-Niswa* (the feminine suffix) is not merely a grammatical marker; it signifies the *Nun* of presence—the presence of the female artist within the visual art landscape, the presence of her experiences, memories, and inquiries, and the diverse visions she has carried across generations regarding humanity, place, and time. In this exhibition, we do not gather these artists simply because they are women; rather, we bring together artistic experiences created by women. Each experience has its own language, each painting holds its own memory, and each artist follows her own unique path in traversing the distance between what she sees and what she feels.
