Goethe-Institut and Ahlam Gallery invite you to the opening of “Echoes of Time”. This special exhibition celebrates the 20th anniversary of the German Archaeological Institute’s (DAI) excavations in Saudi Arabia and features the innovative works of artists Daniah Alsaleh and Susanne Kriemann. Curated by Salma Al Khalidi, the exhibition invites you to explore how Alsaleh’s mixed-media creations and Kriemann’s silk screen prints transform the ancient landscapes of Tayma and AlUla into vibrant narratives of history and ecological change. Their art reimagines the desert as a dynamic archive, shedding light on the intersection of past and present, and raising important questions about environmental preservation and cultural legacy.
