Mahmoud Marei is an Egyptian desert explorer and founder of the travel agency "Nomadi-KA". He holds a PhD in Educational Leadership.
Marei is considered one of the last great Egyptian desert explorers, leading expeditions to the most remote areas of the Sahara Desert following ancient routes and paths. He is an author and writer, and has discovered over 70 new prehistoric rock art sites in Egypt, Libya, Sudan and Chad. - His notable discoveries include finding the furthest hieroglyphic inscriptions from the Nile, near the Chadian border. Marai has published his findings in a number of peer-reviewed scientific journals and other publications, contributing to our knowledge and understanding of civilizations lost to the sands of time. - Marai follows in the footsteps of the ancient Egyptian explorer Harkhov, who led expeditions to the mysterious land of Yam. He has covered vast areas of the Sahara Desert, including the ancient caravan route from Darfur to Cairo, the Endi and Erde regions of Chad, and the Fezzan region of Libya. With over 350,000 kilometers of driving in these areas, he is considered one of the most experienced desert drivers to remote places.
