KAREEM HELMY is a contemporary Egyptian Artist, who lives and works in Alexandria. Helmy works as professor at Faculty of fine arts Alexandria University, Helmy’s work depicts a reality of a metaphysical sense which revolves around his incomplete characters, that seem as if it is resistant to the unknown. With the crystallization of Helmy’s experience, the metaphysical sense got deeper to the essence of the characters, which later matured and marred by wilting. Helmy’s scene has switched to a social dimension of his characters where the woman figure has taken over and became an essential element. The artistic experience presented in this exhibition, we find a transition in the color status from dark grey shades to more of a warm colors one, desiring happiness. The artist has participated in a lot of local and international exhibitions, on the local national level he won many awards in his participation in youth salon in his successive sessions, in addition to some private exhibitions, on the other hand, the international level he participated in many international symposiums in Sweden, Denmark, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Austria in addition of showing his artworks in private exhibitions in Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary.
