Ibdaa Gallery, in Sheikh Zayed, will open the retrospective exhibition by the artist Professor Abdel Ghaffar Shadid, at exactly seven in the evening on Wednesday, March 6, and will continue until April 6, 2024. The exhibition includes artworks by the artist Abdul Ghaffar Shadid, which are being displayed for the first time, and will continue during the month of Ramadan from 12 noon to 3 p.m., and from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., except Friday. Bonhams, an international auction house, launched an auction to sell Middle Eastern art by various leading Egyptian visual artists, sculptors, and the most important contemporary visual artists. Among these artists is the artist Abdel Ghaffar Shedid, where the auction displayed the painting “The Nubian Village.” The artist Abdel Ghaffar Shedid presented many art exhibitions, including, he participated in the Graphic Triennial - Cairo 1996, and he participated in the First Salon of Drawing Art (Black-White) at the Gezira Arts Center in May 2004. He also participated in an exhibition entitled (Selections) at Ibdaa Gallery - Zamalek, March 2022, and an exhibition entitled (Arabic Selections), the fourth at Dhay Arts and Culture Gallery - Mohandessin, June 2022. He won many awards, including the first prize in the Pioneers Competition (A Trip to Europe) in 1966, and international awards, the International Art Exhibition Prize (Folklore Role) in Munich, and the second prize in the International People’s Games Exhibition in Munich in 1968.
