In A Night of Love, Lebanese artist Georges Bassil returns to the tenderness of a bygone era. Through dreamlike female figures, rich florals, and a palette drawn from memory—deep reds, soft golds, and shadows of black—Bassil paints a personal ode to beauty, nostalgia, and emotional reverence.
At the heart of the exhibition stands a tribute to the legendary Umm Kulthum…an icon he has admired since childhood….reimagined as a woman of unmatched grace and power. This is a love story between Bassil’s timeless muses and a cultural icon, set against the quiet resistance to today’s fleeting pace.
