"Armenians in Egypt" Exhibition At the Mahmoud Said Museum Center in Alexandria Armenian artists have a special nature in their relationship with Egypt and the Egyptians, as they were given the opportunity to continue like no other foreign community, and over time they turned into pure Egyptians, distinguished from Egyptians only by their names and Armenian origins, so Egypt became their second home, if not their first. Mahmoud Said Museums Center celebrates a large group of these artists, by displaying works displayed for the first time, some of which date back to the beginning of the twentieth century. The search began with the help of the artist Vahan Talbian, but fate did not give him time to see the fruits of his efforts with us to bring this event to light. We salute Vahan's spirit by displaying a group of his works as the guest of honor of the event, alongside a large group of Armenian artists who lived in Egypt throughout its modern history. We are waiting for you at 4:30 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
