Art Workshop Titled Mahfouz's People

Find the answer at the "People of Mahfouz" (*Nas Mahfouz*) workshop.
The Fine Arts Sector, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Hamed, invites you to an art workshop titled "People of Mahfouz." Hosted by the Naguib Mahfouz Museum and Creativity Center at the Tekiya of Mohamed Abu Al-Dahab, the event takes place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
The workshop is organized under the supervision of the General Administration for Heritage Research and the General Administration for Cultural Promotion within the Fine Arts Sector, with the participation of artist Ahmed Amin from the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art.
It promises an artistic journey through the covers of the renowned author’s novels, as well as his timeless characters and settings.
The workshop will be preceded by a museum tour led by writer Tarek El-Taher, the museum’s supervisor, who will draw connections between Mahfouz’s life story and the exhibited artifacts.
This event is part of the Ministry of Culture’s commemoration marking 20 years since the passing of the author of *The Cairo Trilogy*—don’t miss it.
