I Became Something

I Became Something

The Opera House will host at 6 pm on Wednesday, September 11, in Salah Taher Hall, an exhibition entitled (I Became Something) by artist Dr. Amani Hilal, which will continue until Wednesday, September 18, and includes 30 artworks made of scrap iron. The artist was inspired by the name of the exhibition from Salah Jahin’s quatrain, as these words carry within them the idea of transforming nothing into something, so (I Became Something) becomes an embodiment of God’s creativity in His creation, as well as an expression of the Egyptian environment. It is worth mentioning that the artist obtained a BA in Arts in 2008 and works as an official for fine arts at Nasr City Culture Palace. She is an artist who loves sculpting and shaping with scrap iron and wire, transforming them into sculptures, and has participated in many group exhibitions throughout her artistic career.
