Interactive Workshops "Awareness Roles": Discover How Art Can Open New Doors to Understanding and Awareness.
Every day we spend hours on our phones, scrolling through hundreds of posts, and encountering ideas and messages that influence our consciousness without us even realizing it. So how can we read this world more consciously? And can art help us understand it?
The Fine Arts Sector, headed by Professor Dr. Mahmoud Hamed, invites you to attend the interactive workshop series "Awareness Roles" at the 15th of May Contemporary Art Complex. These workshops will be presented by Dr. Hind Abdel Aziz, Head of Awareness Programs, Activities, and Initiatives at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.
Over four sessions, the workshops will explore topics that have become part of our daily lives: from media literacy and how to deal with the flood of information, to digital identity in a rapidly evolving technological world, to the role of creativity in raising awareness about the dangers of addiction, and how the arts can support the dissemination of a culture of equal opportunities and the empowerment of girls. These aren't just listening sessions; they're spaces for dialogue, exchanging ideas, and discovering how art can be a tool for positive influence and building a deeper awareness of societal issues.
If you're looking for a unique experience that combines culture, thought, and interaction, these workshops deserve a place in your plans for August.
The workshops begin on August 5, 2026. You can find the schedule and topics in the attached document.
The event is open to the public and free of charge.
Location: 15th of May Contemporary Art Complex, 15th of May City, Block 3, behind the City Authority building, next to the Higher Institute of Engineering and the City Public Library.
