The Fine Arts Sector Celebrates Contemporary Artistic Experiments at the Ahmed Shawky Museum

The Fine Arts Sector, headed by Dr. Mahmoud Hamed, launched three exhibitions – "A State of Floatation," "A Child's Dream," and "Moments" – at the Karma Ibn Hani Center within the Ahmed Shawky Museum, as part of the sector's support for contemporary artistic experiments.

Dr. Salwa Hamdy, Head of the Central Administration of Museums and Exhibitions, inaugurated these exhibitions. In "A State of Floatation," artist Samar Abdel Sadek explores the condition of contemporary humanity, caught between drowning and survival, where the raft becomes a symbol of collective burdens and conflict, and survival a recurring act of resistance.

The "A Child's Dream" exhibition, presented by artist Marwa Ali, offers a vision of a land flourishing and devoid of the instruments of war, stemming from the artist's belief that dreams have the power to transform reality.

Meanwhile, artist Sultan Ahmed captured the fleeting and poignant moments experienced throughout a person's life in his "Moments" exhibition, using an expressionist style.

The exhibitions are scheduled to run until June 27th.
