Pulse of Threads

Thread and Needle Reshape Facial Features and Nature at Ramtan Center... Tuesday

The Ramtan Cultural Center, Taha Hussein Museum, part of the Fine Arts Sector headed by Dr. Mahmoud Hamed, will host the opening of the "Pulse of Threads" exhibition by artist Marwa Magid, at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

The "Pulse of Threads" exhibition represents a unique visual journey in which weaving transforms from a traditional craft into a contemporary art form that reinterprets the details of reality with thread and needle.

The exhibition offers a unique experience where the boundaries between image and craft dissolve. It showcases a distinguished collection of textile portraits that preserve the precision and profound individuality of facial features, but with an innovative thread language that reconstructs the visual image. The exhibition is not limited to the human face alone, but extends to include artworks inspired by the enchanting nature, documenting its details and organic forms through precise and meticulously crafted textile compositions. "The Pulse of Threads" is a genuine invitation for the viewer to see and touch reality simultaneously, where the magic of the image intertwines with the skill of the craft, and the precision of execution meets the sincerity of feeling, presenting a complete artistic vision that captivates the eyes and speaks to the soul.

The exhibition is scheduled to run until August 31st. #EgyptianMinistryofCulture
