he #Visual_Arts_Commission, in cooperation with the #Misk_Arts_Institute, is preparing to organize the Saad Al-Obaid Biography and Career Exhibition to commemorate the late artist Saad Al-Obaid from January 18 to 24, 2025, as one of the most prominent pioneers of Saudi visual art, through more than 150 works that shed light on his career spanning from the 1960s until his death (1945-2020).
The exhibition presents the experience of the artist Saad Al-Obaid - may God have mercy on him - historically and aesthetically, as one of the first Saudi artistic names, and includes a collection of more than fifty works that the artist accomplished during his artistic career: starting with works he accomplished during the sixties and seventies, which shaped the features of his artistic personality, then his successive works in the eighties, whose references varied, and even before his death on Tuesday, 12 Safar 1442 corresponding to September 29, 2020.
