Invitation to a Seminar on "Techniques for Photographing Theatrical Performances on Stage"

A theatrical performance doesn't wait for the photographer. Rapid movement, changing lighting, and emotions that may never be replicated in the same way... This is where the challenge lies: capturing an entire moment on stage in a single photograph.

The Fine Arts Sector, headed by Professor Dr. Mahmoud Hamed, in cooperation with the Arab Photographers Union – Egypt Branch, invites you to a seminar on "Techniques for Photographing Theatrical Performances on Stage," presented by artist Emad Omar El-Farouk.

Through real-life examples of his work documenting theatrical performances, El-Farouk shares his expertise in dealing with the unique aspects of stage photography, and how to capture the moment, composition, movement, and lighting in a way that preserves the spirit of the performance and creates an image capable of telling the story of what happened on stage.

If you are a photographer, artist, theater professional, or interested in theatrical photography, this is an opportunity to experience firsthand the practical application of photographic techniques combined with an understanding of the nature of theatrical performance.

A shot of the performance may last only a fraction of a second... but it could become the image that stays with you forever. Thursday, September 10, 2026
