She is the young plastic artist bursting with elegance and creativity (Taghreed Al-Basri). Introduce yourself to the audience: Taghreed Al-Basri is a visual artist who graduated from King Abdulaziz University, Department of “Sociology.” She has a taste for art and music in various genres. 1/ Talent is a journey that requires support. Who is your first supporter? My passion and passion for drawing was my first support. If you do not believe in yourself, others will not believe in you! 2/ How were your artistic beginnings? I started out at a young age. I used to draw sketches with charcoal and lead in small notes away from the eyes of others, but I felt that this restricted me and I wanted to show that to the public. I moved to large notebooks, then notebooks, and gradually ended up with canvases of a relatively large size. 3/ There are many sources of creative inspiration. Who inspired you to draw? The classics of the Victorian era nourished my vision, in addition to my passion for acquiring international paintings. This was my first motivation... something far from impossible, like the Mona Lisa, which is considered the mother of Da Vinci’s paintings... the icons of the artist Michelangelo, which Van Gogh wove on his paintings... My urgent desire is to have a part of this beauty in my paintings and in my own way. 4/What are the colors and times closest to your heart? I worked with pan pastels, charcoal, acrylic, and finally oil colors, as they are now an integral part of my paintings. As for the shades that are closest to me, blue and violet, and the times are not specific. Sometimes I prefer the morning period, as the sunlight brings vitality and positivity to the soul. And sometimes in the evening, when there is peace and quiet. 5/ What are the most sincere feelings that make you draw joy or sadness? It was painted with all feelings, as it is an integral part of our humanity. Every painting I paint has special feelings. There is also a feeling of anger that I often express in the form of a painting! 6/ What is your ambition that you are seeking through the field of fine art? Firstly : To take my drawing to the point of hyper-realism! secondly: To leave an imprint and an artistic legacy...for me, my children, and my community, which will be referred to as Lebanon. secondly : To publish my work at the local and international levels. 7/ Every artist has a special message deep inside him. What message do you present through your art? My message is: “Draw while you are still beautiful.” While drawing, I free my mind and let my thoughts flow on me in the form of a painting. Drawing is the embodiment of scenes and feelings, just like poetry, writing music, sculpture, and all the nourishments of the senses, so that we can taste art and delve into its details! 8/A word of thanks to whom do you address in your artistic career? " A good word is charity " “He who does not thank people will not be grateful.” I extend my thanks to everyone who supported and extended a helping hand, whether in word, deed, or presence, and special thanks to the jewel of my heart, my daughter and my friend, the jewel. “Gwatha” newspaper thanks the visual artist Taghreed Al-Basri for this artistic space and wishes her a successful and brilliant artistic career.
