

Ahmed Abdullah Al-Maghlouth, a Saudi visual artist and cartoonist, was born in Al-Mubarraz in Al-Ahsa in 1950 AD (1370 AD). He participated in dozens of exhibitions inside and outside Saudi Arabia, and his paintings were shown in the Grand Prix exhibitions in Monaco, the French Sorbonne University, the Universities of Utah and Scranton in the United States, and in some international museums such as the Yuyu Yang Museum in Taipei, the American Horizon, the Emirates Cultural Center, and the Princess Diana Museum. in Britain.
About him
He holds a BA in history from King Abdulaziz University, and special studies in color technique and design.
He started practicing art from a young age through his talent.
He participated in various school exhibitions and in the first group exhibition held by the College of Petroleum and Minerals (now King Fahd University).
He presented King Faisal with a portrait painting at the inauguration of the irrigation and drainage project in 1991. He also presented King Khalid with a portrait painting at the opening of King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa in 1996.
He participated in various group exhibitions held by the Youth Welfare Association in Al-Ahsa, and in the exhibitions of the Society for Culture and Arts in Al-Ahsa, Al-Sharqiya, and Riyadh.
His participation in art exhibitions
He participated in the first exhibition of the artists of the Kingdom in 1996. The exhibitions of the cultural weeks in Stockholm, Sweden, the exhibitions of the cultural weeks in Algeria, the first exhibition of calligraphers, the tripartite exhibition, the exhibition of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in Khafji, and participated in the exhibitions of Saudi Arabia.
He participated in the Danish competition exhibition in 1407 AH and won the three prizes.
His works were shown in the Grand Prix exhibitions in Monaco, and he participated in the Art Exhibition in Baghdad and the international elite exhibitions in Paris and Miami in 1998 AD-1999 AD, and he participated in contemporary Saudi art exhibitions and collections exhibitions since their inception.
He participated in the Intifada exhibition, the Friends of the Sick and Disabled dedicated to their charitable support, and his works were shown in international exhibitions held at the French Sorbonne University, the University of Utah, Miami, and China.

His paintings are found in some international museums and galleries, such as the Yoyo Yang Museum in Taipei, the American Horizon, the Emirates Cultural Center, the Diana Museum, the Abdel Raouf Khalil Museum in Jeddah, in addition to private museums in Libya and the United States of America, the American Galerie Spezia Delva, and the French Hatteufel Gallery.
He is proud that his works are available to many Arab leaders, senior officials, and businessmen in the Kingdom, the Gulf, and some Arab countries. Aramco Hospital in Al-Ahsa owns many of its businesses, Al-Ahsa Intercontinental Hotel, Al-Ahsa Hospital, and some government departments.
His interest in cartoons
He was interested in caricature drawing, and his drawings were published in many Saudi and Gulf newspapers. He supervised the first caricature training course at the Culture and Arts Association in Al-Ahsa.
He participated in the Aramco Festival as part of a group of fine painters in a drawing show in 2012.
He delivered some lectures on plastic art in Al-Ahsa and Hail.
He participated in presenting some television programs on cartoons during the Kingdom This Morning program, and participated in the first episode on cartoons in the Face to Face program on Saudi Channel One.
He drew and designed many logos for Saudi and Gulf companies and institutions, in addition to his design for some Saudi stamps, such as the electricity rationalization stamp and the hail stamp.

The artist also designed some aesthetic models, some of which were implemented in Al-Baha in Jurashi, Al-Khafji, and Al-Ahsa. Recently, he developed his design for Al-Ahsa Gate, Al-Ahsa model, and the wet basket, in addition to many aesthetic models inspired by heritage, history, and the local Saudi environment. During the past three decades, the artist has held seven personal exhibitions in each From Al-Ahsa and Sharjah, he found him, and the artist is preparing to hold his eighth exhibition in Riyadh. His paintings are in the form of large-scale posters, and the first Saudi artist to paint murals for children’s and craftsmen’s games, and the first Saudi artist to whom the Chinese artist magazine devotes two pages of his work.
He was one of the first to write about Saudi plastic art in the 1990s AH. He prepared and edited the plastic arts page in Al-Mirbad supplement in Al-Youm newspaper, and plastic arts in Al-Sharq magazine in Dammam. He wrote several articles and angles in Riyadh, Wednesday and Al-Jazeera.
The artist is pleased that a large group of Arab magazines have written studies and analyzes about him and his works, such as the Chinese artist, the Egyptian candles, the Iraqi pens, the literary vanguard, solidarity, the fisherman, the French Amitart, the Egyptian morning, the Emirati Gulf, the Emirati flower, the Gulf flower, and all the people. Recently, he participated in the International Salon of Caricature in France with drawings on terrorism, and received an invitation from the American Weber Street University to hold a personal exhibition of his works in the university.
