The Artistic Vision of Artist Mervat Shazly's Visual Project
Research into popular visual arts in general and the arts of southern Egypt, drawing inspiration from new visual visual visions, represented the primary goals of artist Mervat Shazly's visual project, while developing and enhancing her conceptualization, moving from realism and academic expression to an expression based on creating works that combine form and content. Human concepts, the suffering of life, and social customs, especially among women in the south, played a significant role in her inspiration. The natural landscape, inspired by the spirit of the south, influenced most of her works, while taking into account simplification in compositions and cheerful colors emanating from the intensity of light in southern Egypt. In addition to the values of innocence, the concept of simplification in visual relationships extends to deepen the vocabulary of the experience with all its content and social richness.
To achieve an Egyptian art that traces the traces of identity with a contemporary spirit, imbued with innovative visual values.
Please accept my sincere respect.

The Artistic Vision of Artist Mervat Shazly's Visual Arts Project
Based on my belief in the importance of Egyptian heritage as a source of inspiration for many artists in Egypt and around the world, and given the critical historical stage where the call for globalization and the melting of cultures into a single melting pot is present, a double-edged sword in terms of its power and ability to erase the distinctive identities of peoples, my starting point and desire was to devote myself to a research project in popular visual arts in general, and Nubian art in particular, and to draw inspiration from valuable visual artistic visions that belong to this human edifice. Artist Mervat Shazly sought to develop and enhance her conceptualization. This required establishing key focal points from which the visual experience could proceed. This represented a shift in expression from realism and academia to an expression based on creating works that possess a harmony between form and content, establishing a non-arbitrary relationship. In this, formal elements are organized into formations and structures that create a novel form, to which the content is organically linked. Together, they form a single fabric capable of expressing itself eloquently and without directness.
Folklore in general, and Nubian heritage in particular, represented another focal point with its spontaneous expressive and symbolic content.
Human concepts and life experiences, especially among Egyptian women in general, and those in the South in particular, played a role.
