Biography
Laila Benchekroun is a Moroccan visual artist, born in Fez and residing in Casablanca.
A self-taught artist, her passion for painting began at an early age and she developed her talent after retirement.
Laila Benchekroun draws inspiration for her work from the beauty of living nature and Morocco's rich heritage. Her paintings are characterized by a unique artistic style that blends realism and abstraction. Through her art, she seeks to create a visual balance between tangible reality and sensory expression, to tell a story that combines heritage and modernity, dream and reality.
She relies primarily on acrylics, sometimes incorporating various media, giving her works a distinctive visual and expressive dimension.
She has participated in numerous group exhibitions inside and outside Morocco, as well as in international forums in Marrakech, Tangier, and Mohammedia. She also organized a solo exhibition in Casablanca. She has also facilitated several art workshops in schools and at the French Institute in Casablanca.
