Naglaa Al-Saleem
A Saudi artist, born in Riyadh in 1964, the daughter of the late plastic artist Muhammad Al-Salim, one of the most important pioneers of the plastic movement in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Najla obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah in 1989, and a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Michigan, USA. United States of America in 1993. Member of the Saudi Society of Fine Arts. Member of the Alwan Fine Arts Group in Riyadh. She works as an educational supervisor in the Educational Supervision Office in the National Guard. Her artistic activity has appeared in the Saudi art scene since 1983, and has included participation in exhibitions and group events inside and outside the Kingdom, and holding a group of personal exhibitions. Artist Najla Al-Saleem is considered one of the first women from the Riyadh region to begin plastic arts activities.
