Critic Dr. Hakim Abbas says about Al-Ajlan’s style: He builds his artistic work with a combination of: literature (poetry specifically), his deep knowledge of Arabic calligraphy, and his practice of typing the letter within and outside the laws of calligraphy.
It takes the letter itself and removes it from the laws of calculations, proportions, and form templates in the art of calligraphy, so that it becomes under the influence of ebb and flow, rotation, interlocking, overlapping, and composition, so the letter turns into a dynamism that pushes it to permeate the blocks and lines, obedient to the color that it wears in any guise it wants to employ.
What distinguishes Al-Ajlan’s works is this intertwining and intertwining between letters and free blocks, a magical, living, moving intertwining that continues to infinity.
He has several holdings in Europe, America, Australia, Africa, and the Arab Gulf states, and within the Kingdom, owned by many of their highnesses princes, princesses, ministers, businessmen, and intellectuals.
