Abdullah Qandil is a visual artist, born in Jeddah in 1988. He is full of emotion and nostalgia. He is passionate about drawing his imagination through crazy ideas and transforming them into lines, shapes, and expressive artistic compositions. He moved to the United States of America at the age of ten in a boarding school, then joined the prestigious Sandhares Royal Military Academy in September 2006 in Britain, then went to the United States of America to join Lawrence University in Kansas to study art and drawing and master hand drawing with a brush, then he moved to New York City. In 2010, he had a permanent studio in Park Slope in Brooklyn, after which he moved to live in the south in a Soho studio, to combine life and work in one of the world's most important centers of contemporary art, and finally participated in the Sothebys auction in Qatar on the 22nd. April 2013, when he sold one of his paintings for two hundred thousand US dollars at the age of twenty-four. His insanity with his art put him in a spontaneous situation, for which he was imprisoned after he painted a mural on the wall and stairs of the suite in which he was staying at Midtown’s 6 Columbus Hotel, where he was forced to pay the value of what he painted in order to gain his freedom. It is expected that hundreds of visitors and interested parties, businessmen, artists, and inspirational people will visit the Qandil Art Exhibition, as Qandil is considered one of the most important plastic artists who has a permanent exhibition in New York City.
