Faten Chouba Skhiri is a Tunisian visual artist
Professor of higher education at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Sousse, Tunisia
In 1999, she obtained a doctorate in plastic arts from Sorbonne 1 University in France
In 2011, she obtained a university qualification and research supervision certificate from the University of Sousse, specializing in plastic arts.
She founded and managed the Higher Institute of Fashion Professions of Monastir, University of Monastir, from 2002 to 2010.
From 2010 to 2017, she held the position of Director of Studies and Trainings at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts of Sousse, University of Sousse.
Since 2021, Chair of the Master’s Research Committee specializing in Fine Arts at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Sousse
In 2018, she founded and managed the first edition of the Carthage Days of Contemporary Art Festival under the supervision of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
Since February 22, 2020, she has been elected as a corresponding member of the Tunisian Academic Academy “House of Wisdom” for Sciences, Letters and Arts.
Since 2019, member of the Board of Directors of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art
In 2010, I published a book entitled “Plastic Thought and Contemporary Artistic Practices.” She published and distributed the research of the “Water, Art, and New Technologies” Forum in 2013. She has many articles and research published in specialized, peer-reviewed journals and collective research.
She held many personal exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Tunisia and abroad
