About the memory of elephant project
The artist must start from his environment and the issues and concerns of his society.
From here was my start as a visual artist.. I chose my environment and my heritage to build my identity and artistic vision by presenting plastic works
It records and introduces the popular heritage of the Jazan region in different ways through an art project called "Memory of the Ful According".
The following tracks:
The first path:
Realistic works that record daily events in the past living and economic life in the house, field, market, and fashion
And folk dances, decorations, and the community’s attachment to the jasmine flower as an icon of joy. This stage was crowned with many awards
And the writings of critics and those interested.
The second track:
Executing plastic works with raw materials from the heritage after preparing and re-submitting them to produce a work pure from the heritage intellectually
And raw, and the beginning was with palm leaves (wicker) after treating it to be a substitute for canvas and working on it with acrylic or
oil until popular dyes were reached from crushed stone that the fronds accepted, and the results were wonderful, especially with regard to
Related to portraiture or hanging from the palm trees.
Third track:
Executing inherited works on large areas and solid materials that withstand external exposure and weather conditions, so it was an experience
Mosaic with ceramic pieces and pixel technology, and the results, thanks to God, were beautiful.
Fourth track:
As an extension of the Islamic decoration, the idea of creating a special decorative unit emerged from the Jazan heritage, so elements were chosen from
Inherited, such as the old dwelling, the jasmine flower, and the caddy plant, then altering them to the specifications of the decoration resulted in decorative units
Beautiful, and its beauty was enhanced by the use of digital art to create decorative works capable of development and continuity.
Fifth track:
Executing plastic works using pieces of traditional ceramic products and using their colors by firing technique
And the production of supported, unsupported, and suspended plastic works with the help of proven materials..and the results are impressive, praise be to God.
Sixth track:
The implementation of figures with solid materials in external fields, the last of which was awarded the Souk Okaz Prize for Chilean Art in 2017
