Nasser bin Abdulazizi Al-Maimon is a Saudi calligrapher, born in Riyadh in 1958. He learned calligraphy through practice and by imitating the writings of great calligraphers, especially the Turks, such as Raqim, Sami Effendi, Hamid Al-Amdi, and others. He also traveled between countries, searching for the science of calligraphy, and he met many calligraphers who influenced and influenced the art of calligraphy. His linear experience. He also won many writing competitions around the world. Nasser is considered one of the calligraphers who learned calligraphy through his own efforts and without being apprenticed to any of the calligraphers. He developed his level through meeting with many professors and participating in calligraphy events. Professor Nasser has a large collection of calligraphy works and has previously held several art exhibitions. Calligrapher Nasser excels in all types of calligraphy and has different contributions in each type. He is also the founder of the Saudi Arabian Calligraphy Society and has previously taught in the field of Arabic calligraphy. Nasser enjoys close relations with other calligraphers in the world and has many students.
Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Maimon, a talented Saudi artist, loved the Arabic letter and was able to give it a visual and aesthetic dimension through his many diverse artistic works. He began his artistic career in the year 1971 AD, and since then he has achieved an important and significant presence in international festivals concerned with Arabic calligraphy. Among them was his winning an award at the International Festival of Arabic Calligraphy and Islamic Ornamentation, which was held in Baghdad in 1988, as well as winning the third international award for Arabic calligraphy at the Second Sharjah International Biennial of Fine Arts in 1995. He was part of the Kingdom's delegation participating in the World Cup in America and France in 1994 and 1998. He held his first personal exhibition in Riyadh in the year 1414 AH in the presence of Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, General President of Youth Welfare. As for his second exhibition, he held it in the year 1421 AH in Riyadh as well. He has many works that were acquired by those interested in this art in both Turkey and the Emirates. Kuwait, Malaysia, Qatar... He received certificates of appreciation from international calligraphers such as the calligrapher Sayed Ibrahim from Egypt and Hassan Shalabi from Turkey. In the year 1416 AH, he was entrusted with the task of teaching Arabic calligraphy at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh. He now works in the Ministry of Culture and Information.
